This is somewhat how I always imagined Galbatorix, NOT how he was depicted in the movie. If he is so powerful, why wouldn't he keep up his appearance? And being so old, wouldn't he have grown rather elven looking by now, as is the case with other human riders? Unless that attribute only counts with the original dragon, as Shruikan is not... Hmmm.
